FAVORITE QUOTE FROM FIRST CHAPTER:
My low-heeled strappy sandals slapped against the sidewalk, an exclamation point
with every step.
BOOK COVER:
I am in absolute love with this cover. I know I keep repeating fun and probably will do so throughout this first chapter review, but these are the kind of cozy mystery covers I love!
FIRST CHAPTER REVIEW:
Fun reading cannot do this first chapter justice. So we have the heroine have a bad first date and she decides to jump out of the car and walk home by herself. Only she wasn't by herself. She swears she hears footsteps. So she takes off like a bat out of Hell. Until...a strange figure is right in front of her, throws her down on the ground and digs his teeth into her neck.
Vampire maybe?
So this bad date "Roger" was a cheapstake but I've been on cheapstake dates before and I didn't get pissed at him so what else could have happened? Ohhh he went the feelsy route. And she had to pay for her own popcorn. What nerve!
What an absolutely fun (there I go again) first chapter. I will definitely keep reading!
