I have always loved the covers of Chase's books. Bookouture aces it every time. 

"“Please…” The woman grabbed Katie’s arm. “Please…” Her grip was strong, her eyes expressing her desperation. “You have to find her…”"

First of all, Katie Scott isn't a woman to be reckoned with. I so admire her! As detective with the Pine Valley Sheriff's department, she is finishing up her speech about criminal profiling at the California Law Enforcement Conference in Sacramento when an agitated woman walks up to her and demands to know why the department hasn't done more to find her daughter who I'm assuming has been missing. Katie agrees that the woman needs help with this and has it on her mind to look more into it. However, she's walking into the parking garage and hears a cry for help. It is the same woman who had just confronted her at the conference. Someone had stabbed her. Several times. The woman still conscious kept repeating "find my daughter, find my daughter." Then she says, “Find the million-dollar man… you’ll find my Anna…” The ambulance speeds away.

Whew, okay! And this is what I love about Jennifer Chase's books. I have got to know who the million dollar man is. I have to know if Katie finds out where the daughter is. I mean, is she dead? Of course we don't know that yet, but be still my heart! I will definitely keep reading!
