1. “Alexandra Forever: Beginnings”, while a stand-alone story, is part of a much larger saga.

2. The novella bridges Alexandra’s origin in the literary novel “Pairs” with the sci-fi world which is first presented in the graphic novel “Alexandra Forever: 2337”.

3. While writing the novella I conferred with a privately held defense and security contractor. It was the owner of the company who gave me the idea for the anti-demon response Alexandra cobbled together from what was available in her workshop.
4. In creating the character of Alexandra's dog, Hercules, I took very slight inspiration from The Call of the Wild.
5. Although its an occult fantasy, forgiveness, importance of family, personal sacrifice and moral duty, are the story's guiding themes.
