What a delightful children's holiday book! First of all, I love angel stories. With this story, the angel is telling us a story about a dog named Scrapper. Scrapper doesn't live a great life. He's homeless and has to struggle to find food. A kind man named Mr. Rosario will sometimes feed him along with a few other stray doggies.

It was winter and Mr. Rosario tries his best to get Scrapper to eat but the poor scared pup won't eat until Mr. Rosario backs up. Scrapper is scared but starving. He stares into a pet shop window and envies the dogs who are not out in the cold.

Trying to stay warm, he walks by a church with a nativity set and climbs into the manger. Lo and behold an angel drops down out of the heavens.

I won't spoil anything else at this point, but it's one of the most precious books for children out there. I love dogs and it made me sad. I know there are lots of doggies in Scrapper's predicament but I promise there's a great ending.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and give it 5 gold stars!
