I was so excited to get my copy of FLASH! The Science Behind Intuition by Dr. Anne Watson that I was about to jump up and down for joy literarily. I very much think I'm not alone in saying I believe in intuition. I was hoping this book would give me guidance in that area and help me reaffirm myself that I should listen to my intuition and not poo-poo it to just a slight of mind. This book did not disappoint.

We start out by having the author recount an experience she had while driving her kids around while waiting for her daughter to get out of dance class. A vehicle nearly runs into her and it was the author's words about this experience that I could so relate to. She said she heard in her head just before 'wait...wait...wait...' Had she not listened, a vehicle would have plowed into her. And because she listened, her life as well as her kids' lives were saved. So what was this 'voice'? Was it a 'guardian angel' 'untapped abilities' or 'our own universal intellence?

We all hear voices or at least those who are intuitive do...just where does it come from? The answer is spelled out in black and white in this book and you'll just shake your head in wonderment. I can't think of another person in this whole world who can explain it better than Dr. Watson.

I love this part - she says, "The more scientifically sophisticated the machinery to look
inside the brain and body, the less scientific and the more spiritual we become." That really makes me smile because the power of intuition is more of a spiritual nature which sophisticated machinery can't even touch.

She delves into such questions as, 'How do we receive messages from light?' which is a very important aspect of intuition. She discusses EEG waves and I especially like this sentence, "People who meditate all the time, like Tibetan monks, go into a deeper-than-Alpha state, all the way into deep Theta, where waves are always creative, characterized by feelings of inspiration and very spiritual."  I liked that sentence because while I always wanted to be a mediating sort of person, I could never get 'there.' She goes on to explain more and I will try it again to get to 'that place' because it's all part of being intuitive and centering your being around this at times confusing universe.

I have to say this is one of the best books on the subject. Develop, nurture and strengthen your intuition by reading FLASH! The Science Behind Intuition by Dr. Anne Watson, one of the most knowledgeable persons in the field.
